Bakken with KTM for 2010

After the final round of the AMA/Rekluse National Enduro Series in Indiana, Virginia’s Brad Bakken signed a one-year deal with KTM northeast regional manager Brooks Hamilton, who is putting together a team for the 2010 season. “I have a budget that we get from KTM and we’re going to put Brad with a couple of other riders to focus on the national enduro series and the east coast hare scrambles series for us,” said Hamilton. “He’s going to move to the east coast hare scrambles series because he’s been riding the series in Virginia for 16 years and he needs a change. KTM likes to keep their guys in regional series and regional budgets. Right now we have KTM North America, KTM Powerparts on board and Canyon Motorsports out of Gaines, Pennsylvania is the shop he will be riding out of.” ”I’m real excited with everything that’s going on for next year,” said Bakken. “Brooks have been working real hard to help me stay with KTM. I’ll be riding the same model as this year, the 250 XC, and I’ll have backing from KTM Hard Parts. I’m staying with Arai Helmets, but we are working on some gear sponsors and some other stuff. I want to work hard to get some wins in 2010.”
